I received my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Notre Dame de Namur University. I trained at Catholic Charities, a community-based agency, working with adults, children, couples, and families covering a wide range of presenting problems. I also worked at Process Therapy Institute (PTI), where I was trained in the “mirror program” using PTI’s process model. For 3 years, I worked with children in school-based programs. I completed a practicum at El Camino Hospital in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). The Couples Institute training included working with couples to create deeply satisfying and intimate relationships. I am currently in private practice where I work with individuals, couples, and families.
For many years, I have practiced mindfulness meditation and am a part of the Spirit Rock Meditation Center community, which has been a cornerstone for my therapeutic approach. Professionally, I served the Santa Clara Valley, California Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) as North Region Program Chair, Special Event Director, President-Elect, President, and Past President. I am currently Membership Chair and Secretary for Chico CAMFT. Prior to becoming a marriage and family therapist, I worked in the computer industry as a world-wide corporate manager, trainer, and marketing professional.
